Landscove is a thriving small church school, built in 1854 and is part of the Totnes Hub of Village Schools, within the Link Academy Trust. We can be found in Landscove village, surrounded by rolling fields and farms, being between Ashburton, Buckfastleigh and Staverton. We are well known for our links with farming, growing and food.
At Landscove C of E Primary School we do our best to create a safe and secure learning environment where all the children can grow and flourish. Landscove has an excellent reputation built on high standards and a caring ethos, but we are always looking for ways to improve so that we meet the challenges of preparing children for the world in which they will live.
Our school is a vibrant and exciting place to work in, yet our small size enables us to know every child, understand their needs, their talents and the things that motivate them. We are a school that is built on success stories. Some big, some small, some public but most private. The message is simply that we want all the children to feel the warm glow of success and be motivated individuals who are constantly striving to do exceptional things. Whether it is playing a significant role in one of our school performances or simply mastering the 5 times table we believe that success is a key ingredient in the production of happy children who are ready to play a positive role both within and beyond the school gates.
With links to our partner schools within the Trust, the church and the local community, our children are given varied learning experiences. As they move through the school the children are given opportunities to develop their talents in a range of different ways that will underpin their confidence and enable them to achieve the “impossible”. Whilst on this journey they learn how important it is support everyone else and work in harmony to make our little school a very special place to be.
